Talent Brand Alliance Board: Warming up in Texas
Last month for the very first time, the entire Talent Brand Alliance board met in person over a weekend in Austin, Texas.
For those at home doing the math, that’s a combined total of 108 talent brander brain hours dedicated for this community.
As co-founders, Will and I are very lucky to have the brain power and dedication that comes from 7 fellow board members who are committed and excited (dare I say giddy?) to continue building this amazing organization.
We got together for the first time recently, and talked about what’s coming up for the rest of the year as well as our 2020 vision and beyond. Lots of projects and short term goals were defined and assigned for each of our committees. We were energized by all of the ideas and hard work from each of our board members. (More info on our board and the committees they lead can be found here.)
Some hints about what’s to come . . .
We discussed needing a platform for knowledge and resource sharing as well as collaboration, with more functionality than what Facebook provides. Over the next couple months, we’ll start by refreshing the look and feel of our website. We’re kicking off a project for our new member portal to formalize our searchable talent branding knowledge base, enable career mentorship and collaboration, and much, much more.
A few highlights from our board committees:
MARKETING — We’re updating our content strategy and will be partnering with additional industry media channels to share your case studies and blog posts more broadly. If you have a real story (with data) to share within the group or externally, please contact Info@talentbrand.org directly.
COMMUNITY — The format of our regular member calls is evolving based on feedback, and we are creating some general user guides based on all of the great questions we see posted from within the community. Think of them as helpful FAQ documentation, with all of our collective knowledge. Send your topic suggestions to Info@talentbrand.org.
EVENTS — The Fall Summit is coming up in London in just under 90 days, and the agenda is now LIVE. See what’s in store for London Summit attendees here. Be sure to request your tickets now. If you’re interested in volunteering on the committee or as a scribe, please email Summit@talentbrand.org.
MEMBERSHIP — Our goal for 2019 is to hit 1,000 vetted members globally, and we're on track to do it! With the help of our Events committee, we’re expanding the TBA local chapters this year. So far we have Atlanta and the recently launched New York City. We’re lining up the rest of the chapters, tentatively planning for Chicago, Los Angeles, and Austin. If you want to help or lead these chapters, please contact Info@talentbrand.org.
We’re continuing this amazing year for Talent Brand Alliance with the help of our board, committees, facilitators, and all of our community members . . . that’s YOU!
